Island hopping & Sailing
Sailing expedition of the Adriatic
Blessed with unique coastal landscape, pine wood beaches, and more than 1000 islands, it's no surprise that Croatia easily entices an increasing number of visitors for sailing vacations each year.
With enough time on your hand, sailing from Istria all the way to the Pearl of the Adriatic – Dubrovnik should be on your bucket list.
On your way down there are some remarkable things to see. Brijuni Islands which Marshal Tito used as his formal residence during the period of Yugoslavia. A place where he hosted Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Sophia Loren and many others. You are certain to be mesmerised by the beauty of National Park Kornati islands.
"On the last day of Creation God desired to crown His work, and thus created the Kornati islands out of tears, stars and breath.“ - George Bernard Shaw
Would you like to visit a heart or fish shaped island? As incredible as it sounds, we have those in Croatia. Anchoring at famous Hvar, Vis or Marco Polo's birthplace Korčula should not just be tempting, but a must. Visiting those islands provides a remarkable experience since the traditions of wine and olive oil production date back to 4th century BC. Indulging yourself in some gastronomical delights while ashore is imperative. If you like diving, Vis area offers an incredible amount of WWI and WWII shipwrecks, all fallen in battle.
Can you imagine seeing the famous Dubrovnik walls from the deck of your sailboat while watching the sunset? Such a lovely sight. Don't forget to enjoy swimming in the crystal clear sea, as you dock in secluded bays, and explore tiny villages and deserted islands.
