What to expect
Explore local history, architecture, and art. On your way to Varaždin, your driver-guide will give you a historical overview of Croatia, Varaždin, and the region itself. Upon arrival in Varaždin, you will explore the cobbled streets and beautiful palaces on a walking tour with your guide. You will then have some free time to explore at your leisure.
Next stop will be Varaždin cemetery, which most definitely differs from regular final resting places. The last stop on your tour will be a 13th-century castle where you will take a journey through time. You will marvel at the valuable collection of artifacts, weapons, and paintings as your guide shares insightful stories about the castle’s rich history and owners. You will then return to Zagreb in the late afternoon.
