We have traveled extensively, to every continent except Antarctica, and have never experienced a trip to match the one Karlo arranged for us in Croatia. From the time we arrived in Zagreb, to when we departed Dubrovnik 12 days later, we can honestly say that we felt at all times that we were in excellent, caring and expert hands.

From walking around Plitvice Lakes, hiking Paklenica (lunch was amazing!), walking the Krka Waterfalls, kayaking by Lokrum Island, and cycling Konavle Valley, every active day was an adventure. The experiences we had interacting with the folks who run a small gourmet cheese shop and an independent olive oil manufacturer were extremely enjoyable. The meals were uniformly delicious, but especially so at an Ethno Village, an amazing winery, and the Panorama Restaurant overlooking Dubrovnik.

We can recommend Karlo and Bespoke Croatia without reservation. He will design your trip based upon your interests and activity level. He is a wonderful host, speaks perfect English, and has a love for his country that he cannot wait to share.

I went on a tour of a couple European countries but my favorite was definitely Croatia and I can clearly say that it was because of Karlo and his Bespoke Croatia team. It was my first experience with them but definitely not last. The communication went very smooth and we quickly tailored a tour that best suited my interest.

Karlo was my guide on the activities which included history and food walking tour in Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes day trip with some great cheese tasting and he also did my transfer to Ljubljana, a lovely Slovenian capital. He was very informative, engaging, entertaining, passionate, safe driver and introduced his country in the best possible way. We quickly bonded, so I didn’t really feel that I am on a tour, rather that I am spending time with a friend.

The itinerary for all the tours was wonderfully organized and I simply loved tasting delicious local food along the way (especially Croatian version of Lechon). The sites of continental Croatia that we visited were breathtaking and I cannot wait to come back and explore the rest of the country. I felt genuinely taken care of and I rate this tour to be the best I had. I cannot thank Bespoke Croatia enough.

This was my first time visiting Croatia. I was on my own and it was winter at that time. The Plitvice Lakes Park has few tourists and Karlo was the guide who picked me up from hotel early that morning. I was the only tourist on that tour. He showed up on time, was very polite and knowledgeable. He speaks good English, on the way to the park he told me a lot about the history of Croatia and I have learnt a lot! He took good care of me as I was a solo traveller. He is definitely the best guide in Croatia!

My wife and I had the pleasure of using Bespoke Croatia at the beginning of a 3 week rail adventure to 6 cities in Eastern Europe. We started in Zagreb with a 4 day stay and wanted to make the most of our time there so we decided to book some tours.
Karlo and his colleagues at Bespoke Croatia seemed the best option for us as we wanted a mix of activities to suit our own preferences. Karlo suggested a range of activities for us which we amended slightly and they all turned out to be just exactly what we wanted. The written and verbal communication before and after was excellent. He speaks perfect English and the tours we experienced were actually better than we thought they would be.

Our favourite was the tour around Zagreb. What a great city to visit and Karlo, with a great sense of humour and historical knowledge, took us to both the usual and the unusual sights. We also requested food and wine tour which was simply fab. A couple of trips to the surrounding area included Varazdin which we did in the afternoon and evening as it had a big festival on with lots of street entertainment and a great vibe. Earlier that day we visited Trakoscan castle and Tito’s birthplace at Kumrovec. On a separate day we hiked in the hills at Samobor.

Everything was organised extremely well and it got our holiday off to the best possible start. We will definitely go back for more. Many thanks to Karlo and his team.

Karlo is the consummate professional. He is always present and attentive but also allows you space when you need it. My wife Lori and I are fairly private people; when we travel (over 50 countries), we always hope our guides and drivers will sense our desire to sit quietly and have private moments as well as engage in conversation and learn about the history and people in countries we visit.

Having a great guide makes all the difference on a holiday. I really want to thank Karlo for giving us one of the most memorable highlights on our travels, with his cheerfulness, helpfulness and great knowledge. His English is excellent as well. Our journey was in a really comfortable car, with no problems at the border crossing. Karlo took us on a full day tour from Zagreb into Slovenia, and arranged for a city guide around Ljubjana’s highlights, then taking us on to Lake Bled with awesome views from the castle and local attractions. He was well prepared with umbrellas for a light rain shower, and good suggestions for a short walk and lunch.
